LJCDS "I WANT TO BE..." CAMPAIGN

We are excited to share the latest work done for La Jolla Country Day School. This campaign incorporates “real kids” from the school, expressing their interests and dreams, demonstrating that the school celebrates and embraces each students unique life path. We were inspired by the school’s mission statement which reads, “Developing scholars, artists and athletes of character for over eighty years.” Incredible images by world class photographer, Andy Hayt and creative copy by Kristi Fisher! Kudos to our leader, Chris Lavin from LJCDS for allowing us all to do great work together. We are proud to play a part in helping the school enjoy a year over year increase in applications and interest in the school along with receiving two CASE District awards for the work done last year!

SIGNAGE PROJECTS IN THE WORKS

In progress work for a new hotel casino project.....

DESIGN INSTITUTE OF SAN DIEGO MARKETING MATERIALS

Design Institute of San Diego has a great reputation in the field, has amazing practicing professionals teaching staff, offers one of the only BFA’s in Interior Design in San Diego and yet has struggled with dwindling enrollment. Because of the great work we’ve done for La Jolla Country Day School, we were hired to help DISD target a younger student base. We have created lots of great collateral material for the recruitment team. Including a cool High School Counselor Kit, great fun direct mail open house invitations, collectible trading cards!

FINDING YOUR WAY AT AMERISTAR ST. CHARLES

We’ve worked very closely with our client, Ameristar Casinos to create a creative, comprehensive wayfinding signage system for their St. Charles Missouri property. This project aimed to connect the modern sophisticated hotel wing and two existing parking structures with the main entrance and then guide guests down the traditional “street scape” to the modern Convention Center.

FROM PEARL'S TO BELLA'S

We’ve been working very closely with our client, Ameristar Casinos over the past year or so, to re-brand several of their amenities across the country. Today, we are sharing with you, one of these transitions. From Prairie Mill & Pearl’s Oyster Bar to Bella’s Bakery & Cafe! The project included, naming, identity development, menu design, and a complete signage package for two different locations.

Ameristar wanted to be able to capitalize on the strengths of our original brand identity for Pearl’s Oyster Bar. So, we developed a name that would allow for the extension of the “story.” Much of the visual language developed for Pearl’s was used in the new re-brand; colors, typographic styling, and shapes remained true to the Pearl’s look & feel. This transition was customer friendly, as it remains familiar to the Ameristar guest.

This new signage design required
not only a new name and identity,
but also needed to signal a change
to the guest. Guests were use to
being seated and having a server
wait on them. Now they would be
experiencing this venue differently,
cueing into a line and ordering at
the counter. To help facilitate ease
of use, we designed convenient
streets cape menu boards which
incorporate “to-go” menus as well
as easy to ready, accessible cash
register wrap menu boards.
